Late Stage Identity Development
DESCRIPTION: Sometimes, parts of our identities form or become accessible to us later on in life than we’d like. This is often true for people with marginalized, gender-expansive, or queer identities, where integrating these parts of themselves doesn’t always happen at the same developmental stages as their peers. There can be grief for the years that feel lost or delayed.
TREATMENT: Together, we work to normalize what might be experienced as delayed development and honor the timeline that is true for you. I support you in reconnecting with your personal values and clarifying what meaningful goals and progress look like for you, at your own pace.
